Multi-Segment LinkedIn/Dripify Outreach, CEO Voice & CRM Handoff

CASE STUDY · OUTBOUND & LEAD NURTURE

From targeted outreach to qualified sales conversations

A growing remote staffing business wanted to use its CEO’s LinkedIn network more strategically to reach UK founders and decision-makers. The challenge was to scale outreach without making conversations feel generic, automated or disconnected from the CEO’s own voice.

I built and managed segmented Dripify campaigns, handled replies directly from the CEO’s LinkedIn profile, qualified interested prospects and continued follow-up through HubSpot until a discovery call was booked.

Targeted outreach = personalised conversation.
Qualified interest = HubSpot follow-up and CEO discovery call.

The project included audience segmentation, multi-step outreach sequences, AI-assisted CEO voice modelling, LinkedIn conversation management, lead qualification, HubSpot follow-up and sales handoff.

LinkedIn - Dripify Case

The Challenge

The business wanted to use the CEO’s LinkedIn profile more strategically for outbound prospecting, reaching UK founders and senior decision-makers without making the outreach feel automated or generic.

The challenge went beyond simply sending connection requests.

The outreach needed to:

  • Target different audiences with relevant messaging
  • Sound natural and consistent with the CEO’s own communication style
  • Handle replies and ongoing conversations appropriately
  • Identify genuine interest without pushing every contact towards a sales call
  • Maintain the CEO’s credibility when conversations became personal or relationship-based
  • Move qualified opportunities into HubSpot for structured follow-up
  • Create a clear point at which the CEO would take over the conversation

Because I was communicating directly from the CEO’s LinkedIn profile, there was also a significant trust element. A poorly judged response could affect both his personal reputation and the company’s brand.

The process therefore needed to scale outreach without losing the judgement and context of a real conversation.

The Solution

I built a multi-segment outreach and lead nurture process using Dripify, LinkedIn and HubSpot.

Rather than putting every prospect through the same sequence, campaigns were separated by audience, industry, shared background and commercial relevance. Each segment had its own messaging and follow-up approach.

I managed the process from initial targeting through to qualification, including:

  • Audience and campaign segmentation
  • Multi-step Dripify sequences
  • Personalised LinkedIn messaging
  • AI-assisted CEO voice modelling
  • Direct reply and conversation management
  • Lead qualification
  • HubSpot follow-up
  • Discovery call scheduling
  • Sales handoff to the CEO

The goal was not simply to generate replies.

The goal was to turn the right LinkedIn conversations into qualified discovery calls while keeping the communication authentic to the CEO.

Audience & Sequences

The outreach was divided into different audience groups so that messaging could be relevant from the first touch rather than relying on one generic campaign.

Segments included:

  • UK SME founders and senior decision-makers
  • UK property leaders
  • Ecommerce founders
  • South Africans running businesses in the UK
  • Former Durham University students
  • Marlborough College contacts
  • British Army connections

Most campaigns focused on senior decision-makers at UK businesses with fewer than 50 employees, while some audiences used shared background or professional history as the starting point for the conversation.

Each audience had its own messaging sequence.

Depending on the campaign, the sequence could include:

  • Connection request
  • Light follow-up after connecting
  • Business context and value proposition
  • Invitation to a discovery call
  • Lunch & Learn invitation
  • Podcast invitation
  • Cost-saving message
  • Quality and AI positioning
  • Longer-term follow-up

Some sequences extended across six or seven messaging stages, giving the outreach enough structure to stay consistent without forcing every prospect down the same path.

The aim was to make the outreach scalable without making it feel mass-produced.

Prospects were enrolled into segmented outreach campaigns with multi-step messaging and individual conversation management.

CEO Voice & Guardrails

Because the outreach was sent directly from the CEO’s LinkedIn profile, the messaging had to sound like him rather than like an automated sales sequence.

I used AI to build a working voice profile from previous LinkedIn conversations, emails and other communications written by the CEO.

I looked at:

  • Natural phrasing and vocabulary
  • Level of formality
  • How he opened and closed messages
  • How he spoke to warm versus cold contacts
  • His humour and conversational style
  • How he introduced the business
  • How he handled commercial conversations

I also built up background context around his school, university and military experience because several campaigns deliberately used those shared connections as the starting point for outreach. The Durham, Marlborough and British Army campaigns all used this type of personal context in their messaging.

Clear guardrails

The goal was never to pretend I knew something I did not.

If a prospect asked a highly specific personal question, such as whether the CEO remembered a particular teacher, former colleague or Army contact, I would either check with him first or hand the conversation over.

The same applied when a discussion became commercially sensitive or required his direct involvement.

This allowed me to manage day-to-day conversations independently while protecting the CEO’s reputation and keeping the communication authentic.

Automation supported the process. Judgement still mattered.

Conversation management beyond the automated sequence
Replies were handled individually in the CEO’s voice. Personal, sensitive or highly specific questions were checked with the CEO before responding.

CRM Handoff

Once a prospect showed genuine interest, the process moved beyond Dripify.

I continued the conversation and follow-up while also moving the opportunity into HubSpot so that interested leads could be tracked properly.

My responsibility was to nurture the conversation until a discovery call with the CEO was booked.

The journey became:

Targeted outreach → LinkedIn conversation → qualification → HubSpot follow-up → discovery call booked → CEO handoff → Deal pipeline

Once the discovery call took place, the CEO took over the commercial conversation and the opportunity continued through the normal HubSpot Deal pipeline.

This meant LinkedIn activity was not treated as a separate marketing channel. It became part of the wider CRM and sales process.

My role was to take the prospect from first contact to a qualified conversation with the CEO.

Wider Campaign Activity

Dripify campaign-level reporting showing enrolment, engagement, replies and meeting generation across the wider outreach activity.

The outreach generated a consistent flow of new conversations and gave the business a structured way to move interested prospects from LinkedIn into the sales process.

During one measured week, 17–23 February 2026, Dripify recorded:

  • 201 connection invitations sent
  • 77 invitations accepted
  • 129 LinkedIn messages sent
  • 28 lead replies
  • 55 emails sent
  • 204 profiles viewed
  • 281 post likes
  • 26 endorsements

That represents an invitation acceptance rate of approximately 38% for the measured period.

The value was not only in activity volume. Replies were actively reviewed and categorised, with conversations progressing into statuses such as Interested, Follow Up and Future Interest, and some moving into direct email or call coordination.

Performance snapshot

201 invites → 77 accepted → 28 lead replies

38% invitation acceptance during the measured week

Rather than treating these as isolated LinkedIn metrics, interested conversations were carried into HubSpot and followed through until the prospect was ready for a discovery call.

Broader campaign evidence

Across the wider Dripify activity, campaigns also showed substantial enrolled and engaged audiences, including replies and meeting generation. I would display the broader Dripify Insights screenshot here, but keep it visually separate from the weekly performance figures because it covers a different reporting period.

The success of the project was not simply getting more replies. It was creating a repeatable path from outbound activity to real sales conversations.

My Role

I owned the day-to-day execution of the outreach process from targeting through to sales handoff.

My responsibilities included:

  • Researching and defining target audiences
  • Building segmented Dripify campaigns
  • Creating and refining multi-step message sequences
  • Personalising messaging by audience and context
  • Building an AI-assisted CEO voice profile
  • Managing conversations directly from the CEO’s LinkedIn profile
  • Assessing replies and identifying genuine buying intent
  • Handling routine follow-up independently
  • Escalating personal, sensitive or high-value conversations when appropriate
  • Moving interested prospects into HubSpot
  • Maintaining follow-up until a discovery call was booked
  • Handing qualified opportunities to the CEO for the commercial conversation
  • Reviewing campaign activity and response data to improve future outreach

The project required a combination of automation, CRM management, copywriting, judgement and trust.

I was not only responsible for making the outreach run.

I was responsible for making sure that, from the prospect’s perspective, the conversation still felt natural, relevant and credible coming from the CEO of the business.

From outreach to a connected sales process.

Dripify created the scale. LinkedIn created the conversation. HubSpot carried the opportunity forward.

The process connected targeted outreach, real conversation management and CRM follow-up into one clear route towards a qualified discovery call.
