Use Deal data as the operational anchor
Customer-service information was structured around the Deal so the commercial relationship and service activity could move through the lifecycle without creating duplicate customer records.
CASE STUDY · CUSTOMER OPERATIONS
A post-sale process redesign that used Deal data, workflows, forms and lifecycle logic to make customer handovers more consistent across teams.
Once a customer converted, the process needed to move cleanly from Sales into Client Success and Delivery. Repeated handovers, changing service requirements and ongoing account activity created unnecessary administration and made the customer journey harder to track.
The goal was to create a lifecycle that could support the full relationship, not only the initial sale.
The lifecycle was designed around what actually happened after a sale: handover to Client Success, Delivery takeover, ongoing support, account management, service changes and eventual closure.
Customer-service information was structured around the Deal so the commercial relationship and service activity could move through the lifecycle without creating duplicate customer records.
Workflows, internal notifications and task logic helped move the customer between teams more consistently and reduced repeated manual follow-up.
The process accounted for re-onboarding, upgrades, downgrades and closure rather than treating every change as a brand-new customer journey.
The lifecycle created clearer reporting points across onboarding, delivery, account activity and service changes.
WHAT THIS PROJECT DEMONSTRATES
Post-sale operations are not separate from CRM architecture. The handover, service stages, workflow logic and reporting all depend on a consistent structure underneath them.
